By chance does anyone have a owner's manual for this reel?

I have one, but like Tuna said the schematics are available on the internet.

The Drag you have to set with the star drag backed all the way off.

If you are going to cast it then either static mag it or send off to BlackDog Tackle on Ebay for the adjustable mag.

Alan Tani also has a step by step tutorial on the internet for cleaning and servicing a TSM lll which is the same as the ll only larger.

Thanks guys. I recently acquired a nearly flawless example on Ebay that came from Albania of all places. I need a rod clamp and 2 rod clamp bolts. The OEM parts of course are not to be found. Does any one have any information on these items aftermarket? I'm not very familiar with Shimano bait casters.

I just checked out your recent peuchace on eBay. You did about average on the price and the reel...

Over the last couple years I've bought and sold three or four of these reels. One of which was brand new in the box. The most desirable of the TSM IIs, are the C models. Which came with centrigal brakes not many came to the US.

You're not going to need the reel clamp unless you really want it on the rod if you plan to fish it. Check out and see if a TLD 15 clamp will fit if you really want the clamp. The screws are stainless metric 4 or 6 ... I forget which. You can pick them up at lowes or HD.

Don't think you're going to be able to cast it, because you won't .. it's crazy fast without any sort braking system. My only issue with these reels is they don't have infinite anti reverse. The fighting star works much like a lever drag. One quarter turn and your at your max set drag.
