I must have caught 20 rat drum with a 22 inch slot in between....cant complain though this summer compared to last 3 summers was atrocious...went from mid-june to september without a drum when the past 3 years it was fairly easy to catch drum from april til december in the surf.......other than that assorted blues whiting and sharks

I will be down next weekend, did you catch on north or south end or in between?

northend for the small and 22" slot....the big one was on the free wooden pier though which is near the southend attached to the oceanic

What were you using for bait?

was throwing a jig with gulp on the pier and cut mullet in the surf

figured Id add these last two.....30 inches from the surf (bait) and 28 inches from the pier(gulp).....things are picking up well
