Just want to know what can be expected to be caught out there on Tha Spit around the March-April time frame and if it is good fishing out there anyway. Thanx for the info!!!

Trout will show too in late April depending on the water temp.

NS4D with a pair of nice ones last spring at the spit:

And 1-3# blues were everywhere last April.

When my husband and I go that time of year, we've racked up some extremely nice croakers as well as the blues and occaisional stripers.

bust out yer lite tackle....and storms......big grey's,big chopper's,and your occasional keeper flounder.As long as Mother Nature does her job and erases Izzy's mess...the Spit may be that productive again.

The damage from Izzy could take a while to fix. 8 years for Andrew. And both reshaped the bottom for ever.

That is what I'm talking about!.......big blues and big greys.......if you are out there this spring I will definitely see you out there NS4D and anybody else that comes out to tha Spit!!!!.....and speaking of blues and greys does anybody know another place where they can be caught on the regular?

Gonna target them on your side of the water,Pier_man.....

But other good places are both inlets,Lesner and Rudee.

Keep checkin the P&S board
