After NS4D's report last week about the flounder he caught at the spit I had visions of flatties dancing in my head. Then my wife says to me why don't you go fishing on Thursday.
I got there at 0630. Caught a spot in about 5 minutes on squid. Thought maybe that would be a great start to a great morning. I left at noon with 3 sroakers and a roundhead.
I saw a guy catch two throwback flounders, and one guy caught and released a nice striper. One other guy caught two (eye-ball guess) 5 pound grey trouts. A lady beside me caught about 5 croakers for every one I caught.
The flounders were caught on a jig. The striper was caught on a spot-head. And the trout were caught on crab.
