Long story short, the spool on my surf casting shark reel cracked and I cannot find a replacement anywhere online. I can get a whole new reel for $125 but obviously don't want to unless I have to. I just need a new spool. I'm still waiting to hear back from Daiwa customer service because I couldn't even find a replacement on their website. Anyone know where I could find it? Daiwa Sealine X50SHA

Another note, what made it crack I wonder? I've only had it 2 years, kept in a closet out of the sun and elements. It was spooled with 500 yards of #50 power pro and a topshot of 150 yards or so of #40 mono.

If you call, make sure its between 7 am and 5 pm pacific. I read the entire post, i also order parts from Daiwa weekly and have never had an issue. Matter of fact, I just got off the phone with them, the part number is: F78-8302 and it retails for $47.00 . Thanks for the kind words. Mikes reel repair has it for $64.92 plus shipping so buy from who you want.... Daiwa USA is 1-562-375-6800; press 3 for consumer parts and repairs.
