Where are the newer Daiwa "Tournament" Saltiga Ballistics made?
Where were the older versions made?
Any difference in construction or materials? If I eere to add a stainless steel buttcap to it would it void the warranty?

I'm not sure where the blanks are made at but I'm sure adding the butt cap WILL void the warranty IF you extend or alter the blank/rod. And they are no longer "Saltiga" rods. They are "Tournament" rods.

So I emailed Daiwa to get a definative answer and the rep.
replied back.
Daiwa saltiga Ballistics were made in Thailand
Daiwa tournament Ballistics are made in China.
Everything is the same with the exception of the color.
So I guess that leaves the question, is one foreign manufacturer better than the other? Knowing that the tournament is made in China would folks still be comfortable purchasing them, vs. the older made in Thailand Saltiga Ballistics?
