welcome to the family first of all. never fished in your neck of the woods but up here in yankee land we alot of different types of lures. Bombers, Knuckle heads, and Poppers.....Metal like croc spoons, hopkins, kast masters etc.

To use from the beach?
Can't go wrong w/ Mirrolures, Rattletraps, Storm Shads, jigs/grubs, just about anything. When the schoolies move into casting range, it's game on. For natural baits, I usually use cut Bunker or eels on a fish finder. Hope this helps.

Sting Silvers, Hopkins lure, Kastmasters, Buck Tails with a twister tail, Storm and Chesapeake Bay type lure. A good pair of binoculars and lots of diving birds.

Those will work here under the right conditions.

Stripers hit most anything.
Use single hook lures only and crush the barb, you'll out fish everybody that's using lures with treble hooks and you wont wind up with hooks in your hand.
