I am heading to OBX on friday afternoon and trying to find out what is biting and where it is biting. Also what it is biting on. I read a report that there have been a few sharks caught already.

Not many options, due to the back road to the south beach being closed due to high water, and also ramp 49 is still closed due to high water. No way to get from Buxton to Frisco via the beach. Thanks NPS for not doing your job and draining the pond. 55 south to the inlet is open but the narrows gets hairy at high water. Easter weekend, should be a trip here, caught drum last night on Ocracoke, but not where everyone else was. Plenty of bait around, but the wind went NE this afternoon, and that will prevent the water from warming up enough to fish from 38 north, and that ramp today was covered with board and kite surfers.
Inlet was dead early this morning but did manage enough sea-mullets for supper.
If you like crowds and they should be packed like sardines on the point this weekend, try it or hint: Ocracoke.
