I fish around the Oregon Inlet channel and from the surf often. That is one way I catch I lot of big rock. Most of the time you will cast a Hopkin in a school of bait fish, snag one and let the Hopkin and the live bait go to the bottom. It wont be long before a huge rock takes the bait. I like the 3 oz for boat fishing and the 6 oz for surf fishing. Now is the start of the rock season off the coast. Lots of rock over 20 lbs are being caught now, with some going over 30 lbs.
