I would concur, this MD "Blues" thread has all the basics covered;

1. Antagonistic threats via the internet

2. Young guy with energy/skills versus older guy with knowledge/skills

3. A semi-arrogant misguided sense of elitism

4. Some decent pictures of both recent and old catches of large Blues and Stripers.


Likely will deteriorate at some point and be closed by the Mods, it is the first thread I check when I visit.

I must admit I was in the thick of that one........Herb has not responded...must be trying to find more photos of dead turtles....maybe his wife left him for fella wearing white boots...

A NC lawmaker (From Inland area) did just propose a net ban for NC inshore.....Bill included 500 square foot limit on net sizes........So this State Senator is pretty clueless to Gill net fisheries........Perhaps Herb can post a copy of the proposed bill......
