What if any fish(Spots, Croakers )is being caught on the James River from the James River bridge to the MM Tunnel. What is the best bait to use? Thanks in advance.

You should be trying for some rockfish.

Assuming you're boating, trolling stretches as other baits should work. Also, fish the light lines of the bridges with various jigs and bucktails till you find what's working.

Have seen some small rocks around light line of JRB fishing pier. Boat will get you to larger fish so I hear.

The spot and croaker are gone. Stripers, specks, pups, blues and catfish are around.
