Had high hopes. Was thinking, after the great fishing Shad fishing trip with one of my son-in-laws So I thought that: maybe, just maybe I turned the corner from being a p*ss-poor fisherman to moving up to being a sub-par one...... But, alas, only caught a couple of really small ones--returned them back to grow some.

But, I had a great time. I was out on the water (with my kayak) by 6:30, back home by noon. Can't wait to get back out again.... Why do I love this sport so much????

A question, the water was 57 degrees (using my fish-finder). How deep would the crappie be???

Thanks,
Stan

IMHO, I think they could be in shallow water, this is a wild guess. Maybe three to six feet around some wood, like fallen trees in the water, a bulkhead or pier. Weeds or lily pads. That is what I am fishing for crappie. Good Luck!
