Epic day of fishing today. I heard a rumor that the White Perch run had begun on the Patuxent River so I woke up early and went to check it out for myself. Right at sunup it was nonstop action until I ran out of bloodworms around 1230. I caught some extremely large white Perch. I caught 1 12 inches and a couple 10 inches. After I left the river I fished Hutchins Pond for a bit and got 2 Rainbow Trout and 2 Bluegills. It's been an awesome Birthday so far and I still haven't had my steak and cod dinner yet!

Happy birthday! Looks like you celebrated the way I normally try to celebrate mine and looks like the fish were cooperative. Next time, try shad darts, either fluorescent orange or fluorescent green, and see if they don't work. If you tip them with just a small piece of blood worm, the worms will go a lot farther. When they are in the river thick up here, I never use bait only darts or darts and a Nungesser spoon.

where can you buy these dart jigs? what size?

You can normally on find darts in ma and pa tackle shops cuz they normally hand made. Big stores like Walmart Cabela's Bass pro shop and the like normally dnt sell them. Jerry definitely makes and sells them I bought some of his and I believe bigjim makes and sells also
