After reading Hueski and Crappieasssassin`s report, I got motivated to return to Wayson`s Corner to land some yellow perch or the incoming white perch. When I arrived at Wayson`s Corner, it was still raining with a steady pace. So I waited it out under the bridge. When the rain stopped, I proceeded to set up. That`s when I met a fellow angler, Roy. In less than an hour, Roy landed a nice keeper yellow perch on night crawlers along with some sizable white perch. I landed some nice white perch on blood worms. This was done in the changing tide at around 4pm. After alot of hit and misses this year already, I have to admit, I had a pretty good day. It was great meeting Roy, today. Thank you ,Roy, for tossing that nice size yellow perch my way. It is well appreciated.

Yummie! Send some up north.

Were you bottom fishing or tipping a jig or dart with bait? If you can find them, 1/16 oz. fluorescent orange darts with either yellow or white hair are deadly on the white perch. Even more so if you tip them with worms. Chartreuse green will also work well.
