10 Min away you caught perch. If you tell me where you were fishing, I will give you more Info. where I fish. Is that fair? It is a 3 star fishing day today. 3 star= good fishing day. 4 star= Best Fishing Day. Believe it or not. LOL! I'm getting ready to go fishing somewhere. Can't make up my mind. Is it Bass, or white perch. If my friend BOB is at the marina, I will take him bass fishing.

Way more then two waterman docks in MD. Try a couple hundred, or more. I have been fishing in Oxford MD. right now. I move around a lot. I know where you are fishing. It is also near Eastern Neck Island. You are near a little bridge. Right? Find a marina and jig the pilings and docks.

Andy, when my fishing buddy who lived in Easton was still alive, we fished in several places including Oxford & the watermen we talked to were all friendly & usually provided us with very good information. We were getting ready to launch at Gooties in the upper Honga one time, and was looking for a place to possibly chase some Stripers with fly rods. We talked with a waterman & Charter Capt who was waiting for his customer that day & he gave us some very good info, said that he fly fished sometimes, and told us to go to a specific creek. He said he only fly fished for fun, didn't take any clients, and didn't tie his own flies, so I gave him several that I had. It was a good exchange!

I found most to be very good guys & very friendly. We didn't fish from their docks, but I had another older friend, a fellow who was a friend of my fathers who had a cousin that owned a crab house on Fishing Bay and he let us fish from his docks whenever we were down there visiting.

I've run across a few "watermen" who weren't friendly but very few. :)

Nice catch BTW, White Perch are one of my favorite fish to eat! I even prefer them to Stripers. ;)

Waterman are good people. Just like Rec. fisherman. You will find nasty ones on both sides. I lived around waterman and fished as a waterman for about 25 years. Not a good idea to bad mouth waterman in the DelMarVa area. Like one old waterman said. We love Rec. fisherman/crabbers. The Bible tells us so. LOL!
