Better safe than sorry. I have learned go very early in the day and come back early.......honestly that applies to any boating I do inshore or off shore any more. In my younger days I did not give a crap......I'm not as stupid any more.
I was out in the upper Susquehanna. Started out a little windy, nothing too bad. Quickly worsened and I could barely control the kayak on my way back to shore. Same conditions Sunday, so I stayed home.
