A truly Intriguing Idea.
The owner is most likely availing himself of the " eBay $2 Appraisal Service ".
I've been looking at houseboats, and all you hear from the brokers, is how much was bid on eBay.
I always ask why, if it was a Legitimate Bid, didn't you accept.
End of Conversation.
But the concept of an "Investment Group" operating a pier is very interesting.
After this year's lousy fishing, I'm sure that revenues are down.
I suspect there are more pier owners than you'd think, who would listen to such a proposal.
Private parties, and particularly State or Municipal pier owners, might be attracted to the idea of leasing thier property to such a group.
