I am working this week in the area based in Waldorf and will need to get out of the hotel in the evenings.

Any easily accessed shore/wade where I can wet a line?..... preferably with a few fish

I do hope to get to Point Lookout but would prefer to stay closer for now.

Try Bushwood wharf or St Clement's Island

Even closer is Piscataway Park Pier. They are open till dark.

you can also fish the 301 bridge (marina on the MD side or beach on the VA side - both close at sundown) or Colonial Beach pier (all night long).

Just looked at the area on Google Maps !!!! Those man made ponds look like just what I had in mind !!!!
