Got the nod Sunday that it's time to go fish. Had a little over an hour to get things together.
Got to the "spot" and set up one rig. Only needed one. I'm not good a multi tasking these days.
Caught a healthy pup within probably12 minutes. Caught some that had 1 spot, some that had 2, some that had 3, and one that had a serious case of spots. Got so tired of catching them that when a got a fish without a spot I actually thought I was seeing spots. Turned out it was a decent size croaker. Thank goodness I took a second look.
Ended the day with a lot of pups....none keeper size though. All that work for throw back fish, lol. Well, to go along with that nice croaker I ended up with one Norfolk spot, and several smaller size croakers. Left cause the bite stopped. Oh...pulled in enough greens to serve salad to a football team. Around time to leave is when the greenery ceased to exist. Odd. Got rained on a bit. Hung in there though.
I took a few pics with the crap phone camera. Didn't want to pull it out into the elements every time I caught something. Toss em back and get on to the next one was the moto of the day.
Today, Monday I got the nod that it's time to go fishing again. Got to the "spot" and didn't catch any fish for a couple hours. Seems the fish had changed their choice of entrees from what they were devouring yesterday. Once I got the memo, I served up the days special accordingly. Winds were no joke btw.. Definitely much harder than Sunday's wind. Water wasn't too choppy. The tide seemed much higher than yesterday. Those rogue waves were plentiful. Anyway, caught some more undersized pups. Also got a couple puffers and one small black drum. That sums up the days fishing.
Sitting home now popping tums to tame the charlie horses.
