Ok guys,
Heading down tomorow afternoon/evening as soon as I get my license and respool some reels. Plan to take a headboat out of Rudee probably Saturday. Will fish VA Beach or Lynhaven Piers through Monday, maybe the inlets. Anyone know whats going on? I hear the water is real rough will it tone down any? Any one else coming down?

Wednesday evening I stopped by Rudee Inlet with a coworker in between appointments around 6:30. Water was calm but nobody was catching anything. A guy came by in an orange kayak with his dog. One person was fishing the surf along the jetty but didnt seem to be having any luck. I mentioned to my coworker today I bet the surf is kicking up with this breeze.

I dont know how concrete your plans are, but it looks like the later in the weekend you go on a headboat the better, saturday is still northeast wind at 15-20 mph, sunday looks likes its going to die down to 5mph by afternoon, and monday looks like bluebird weather. Also the headboats will go out in rough seas very rough, I learned that the hard way.
