Will it work? Got some at a market near me for 99 cents per pound. Very small spadefish. Too small for eating in my opinion.
I'm curious to know if anyone has had success using cut up pieces for bait. I'm going to cut into strips and salt it down for the next fishing trip.
I'll be using it in the Va Beach, Norfolk area.

I don't see why not. Should work as well as most other salted cut baits as long as it is fresh.

I was watching KayakKevin spade videos and he uses a strip of clam on a jig head. He had a lot of success with this trick and caught some big spades. Probably just need a 1/4 oz jig head and clam or strips of cut bait.

Clam is excellent bait for spades.
