Years ago my son tied bucktail muskie spinners . The bucktail hair was placed on hook and thread wrapped ,then more hair ,wrap
etc.... The glue he used was made of Shoe
Goop mixed with Xylene .Its been 20 years but
you might start 1/2 -1/2 .Wraps ,then wipe
some thinned goop with piece of wire ,nail or
center punch .The mix should ooze out when
you're placing and wrapping.The finished heads last a long time.I still using his
Depending on what durability you are looking for, you may use fingernail polish (colors or clear), fly tying head cement or 5 minute epoxy. For salt, epoxy is probably best. First wrap with thread, kevlar is now available. Check out the fly shops online for info and material.
