Well the more conditions deteriorated the better the bite got. Of course right after it got to the point that everyone else packed up and left this big girl came to eat:

About 5' of pissed off toothiness that seemed to either still be hungry or just want one of my fingers for a souvenir and no tail rope. Won't make that mistake again.

Some of the whiting, let lots swim back after I had enough in the cooler:

And this beauty came home in the cooler too:

Had to cast out much farther than usual to get into the whiting and croakers, they seemed to be concentrated right where the chocolate milk water meet the clearer water out deeper. Toothy eat a whole whiting caught earlier, all others where on very fresh shrimp. Nothing on whole or cut mullet.

Thanks, the water temps are right, it's time!

Man, I'm doing my best to make time to hit the beach and get some. But, I got punched in the gut by Matthew and have much to do to get things back right.

Completely understand, I felt like if I didn't squeeze a couple hours in after work yesterday I was gonna have a nervous breakdown or I probably wouldn't have made it out.

Snuck out for a little bit again today, whiting bite was good but nothing like yesterday. This 3 1/2'er and a big old Southern Ray girl came by to eat, both seamed pretty unappreciative of the free whiting meal and didn't want to help get released:

Ended up spending a good bit of time helping a young girl try to find her lost cell phone, then more time trying to find her and her family after I found it. Still was a nice distraction from the devastation.
