Hello all I've only been fishing now for about 5-6 years now and I'm dying to go trout fishing although I've never been I do research on the internet but it's not the same as actually fishing with someone so I'm asking if anybody would be interested in fishing with me because I have no idea what I'm doing lol please let me know thanks all
When I fish for trout in streams I fish downstream.
I drift red leaf worms or night crawlers throught deep holes, under trees that have fallen over or in th the river. Fish along the bank, if the bank has been eroded, where the river twist or make a sharp turn.
I have never tried spinner baits.
I usually use 6 lb test line and a nice rod. Hold the line as you drift the worm through the hole and you will feel the trout take the bait.
Add some split shot lead weight if the water is moving fast, you want to keep the bait down in the water/hole.
I live in Essex, and work in Bel Air. I would be happy to meet you at Deer Creek sometime.
I generally fish there or the Gunpowder and fish with bait or spinners early in the season.
Send me a private message if you want to meet.
