Has anyone been using silver surface plugs in moving water and if so how successful has it been for you. I usually play the outgoing tides with my silver top water plugs and with great success.

The outgoing tide at the Lesner Bridge is a prime spot to become enlightened with top water silver especially just before sunset. If you combine that with an East wind, believe me it's all over but the crying. You'll kill the stripers for at least 45 minutes to an hour or more and then it slows down to a trickle until the bite is over. The same applies for Sun up when the tide is turning the window is short but very productive. However as soon as the stripper’s eyes adjust to the light or darkness the bite will surly be over.

I just wanted to pass some of my old school knowledge onto anybody who is trying to get the skunk off there back.

I have limited topwater experience at Lesner. Have thrown some Top Dogs without luck. I probably did not go at the right time. Will try it next time.

What type and size of silver plugs do you recommend? Thanks.
