Been looking myself. FnD is pretty good looking craft, plenty of storage and deck space and even a little passenger perch forward. The wide beam should provide great initial stability.

That beam also causes a loss of speed. I'm thinking it would be great for small water and hanging close to shore. For a bit more speed you might check out the Perception Bimini 15.0. http://www.kayaker.com/products/boats/boat.asp?type=sit-on-top&ID=91

I looked it up on Cobra's website, and it sure looks wide to me. Perhaps if you don't have to paddle very far it would be okay, but I prefer something a little narrower for some speed.

I own an Old Town Loon 160T. It's about 16 feet long, about 29.5 inches wide, and about as hard as I want to paddle. The sit-inside design is a bit more stable and I think drier.

Be sure you paddle any kayak before you buy it.
