Just want to start a new thread saying how much I appreciate all the information all the BS'ing and all the great stories that the site provides. Make P&S Great again. Garbo, Tuna, Abu, Loner, Bronze, Jam (if your around) River, Drumdum, and others this would be the time to tell some great stories. Skunkking still lurking?

They should bring Skunk King back for a guest cameo.
I miss hearing the story how Skunk single handedly took out 9 Boy Scouts in one melee or was it 9 Ninja Warriors?

I kind of feel sorry for Dave at this point too many people climbing all over his case, otherwise I would write a short fiction story about two fishing fellas who show up on the end of Rodanthe Pier wanting to balloon out a few baits in late October, and when they encounter extreme local based resistance take the stance that they paid their cash money for the right to fish and say what they want, when they want, how they want and no one, pier management or pier regular or pier owner can dispute their inherent right of free speech, and freedom of ballooing and while we are at it how has the over slot redfish bite been this week?

And I hope Dave can find a new friend now that Witler left for destination unknown. They seemed to be Soul-mates or Brother from Another Mother, or were they actually the same guy?

I will extend an Olive Branch.... Dave as long as you do not link me too much......., If Dave had problems on other sites it is a non issue with me. Garbo has had problems with entire Towns and their Police Forces in the past.......Check my records in Dare County Courthouse records under G. Garbo about several incidents with Officer Hottie...

The one good thing about that Disappointment thread is that most of the posts were heartfelt, genuine, and truthful.

Some members think I am an amateur poser, some think I am a Politician who says one thing but in reality does another.... some think I am some kind of OBX Planker God (Not sure where they could have got that idea from?), in truth I am somewhere in between, just a fella who spent a few years fishing the Planks and the Point and learned to type 140 words per minute.

What about his bazooka misfiring that he's teaching everyone to build via his links on a rocket site that's out there with his namesake?....and it wipes out a favorite pier.......

Do you really think he'd change so he wouldn't be confused for being a responsible citizen....like you've become?

Yes, this forum, and site, are great.

I have the unique privilege of being the oldest member of P&S. After nearly 20 years it feels like Groundhog Day: Trolls gotta troll, loudmouths think it's their personal pulpit, and every couple of years big fights break out and everyone takes sides and there's a lot of clucking about how things were better back in the day and it's all going down the toilet. But almost every one of y'all are awesome. You're knowledgeable, hilarious, and entertaining.

One day Facebook will swallow everything, leaving the internet a barren wasteland of posts about juice cleanses and HOT GIRLS IN YOUR AREA. But until then we still have forums where you can crap on strangers and talk about fishing. Keep up the good work.

This Forum is great.

I'm pretty new here but I got to meet a few of you guys already. Drumdum, Tator, Garbo, Islander80,

I even went fishing with Solid7 at Melbourne Beach.

Everybody hated Solid7 but he was not that bad of a guy and he could cast a bait to the bar.

He was willing to meet up with a newby that did not know sh8t about fishing.

Garbo does look a little like Brad Pitt.

My wife seems to like him too, she said something about "Does GarboMan need a net bitch?"

I learned everything that I know about fishing off the beach from this forum.

I was in a fishing tournament a couple of weeks ago and this dude was set up way to close and then he walked half the distance to me and then threw out right if front of me. I was thirty yards behind him and I threw out over his head and it went 30 yards farther than he threw........it was windy and I let my line drift over his head and when I tightened it up I made sure it hit him.

Everybody needs to get along but don't walk over and throw out in front of somebody.............even if it is Dave.

Nice Matt!
Remember when there was only like 5 or 10 people posting?

No state boards
No boating boards
No casting boards

An amazing community has evolved here.

Kumbaya bitches!!

Not only do I remember that, I remember you being one of the first guys from the site I fished with in the late 90s. Remember sitting on Willoughby with some idiot 20-something kid and giving him advice about running a forum and talking about how to catch puppy drum around those old wooden groins?

Yup! Rinse and repeat!

edit: I was 30 something ding dong working to learn too. We shared information from our experiences. We realized fishing was a journey, not a fast track to the honey hole. Hopefully this site continues to help folks on their journey, eh?
