[Hikes run]

I was down in Buxton a few weeks ago and the point was pretty skinny. I was wondering if Hermine changed it much. It's always interesting to see how much it changes from one trip to the next. I'll be back down for 4 days around 10.21 and was curious what to expect.

it is almost the same. Structure has smoothed out to a drop off to a smooth decline on the south side of the point but I am sure it will build bnack

It will not take more then a puff of wind from the NE to cut off access to the point. Its fairly narrow at the end of the dunes. Deep water with a nice slough on the north side. Straight out looks very nice. The south side has a shoal and some bumps. With a SW it would look pretty good.

It's not the same the whole hook that went to the left and the island are now gone. Less Point for now, until the next blow

Well, maybe I should change the title to "after Mathew". Has anyone been able to make it out and check the point to see what it looks like now? We're coming down next weekend.

Just checked out the coastline map in the open forum. The point looks terrible. Not sure what tide it was when the image was taken two days ago but it doesn't even look accessible.

High tides right now with a full moon Friday. Not worth going out there until things calm down
