I couldn't fish CBBT over 20+ days due to the strong winds and rains when I could fish.
The water had been good. It was 44 F constantly. So, I was optimistic.

I landed 4 tautog at 15.75", 17.5", 18.5" and 20.5". I had many misses and stolen baits.

Fishing Log:

Thanks

I forgot about cannon ball we used decades ago (without the electric and electronic) on power boats. I was the one of them who converted from power boat to kayak.
I thought my rig replaces jig heads (weight and hook size are fixed) with any combinations of the weights and the hook sizes. The reason I used heavy sinkers from a kayak is the I used to used heavy sinkers and the cannon ball. In a way, my sinker is a cannon ball without the release mechanism. I used sinkers as heavy as 10 OZ from a kayak. In January - mid March, I need a heavy sinker for a pinpoint drop into a narrow crack/small hole. Knowing the location of the crack and ability of the pinpoint drop into the crack is the key to catch tautog in Jan - Mid March. I need the heavy sinker to do this.
