While catching bait the other day I saw some guys fishing in the creek up from the causeway walking the bank. What are they fishing for... flounder?
Fishing has been a little tough with that west wind, a lot of people fishing where I'm at (Ocean Lakes) and Matthew. I went Saturday night during the tide swing, couldn't even get a pinfish or crab to eat a fresh finger mullet on a drum rig, lol Surely Drum will bite down here just like anywhere else at night. I'd really like to catch a drum but right now it ain't lookin' good.
Don't know really what to try next, any suggestions? On catching a red fish, spec or flounder.
Thanks guys

Well you never know till ya go.
Wind was wrong but the tide was right so I said what the heck I ain't gona' catch nothing if I don't go. 10 minutes after the first cast I was reeling in what turned out to be a small whiting and the big rod went off so I stick the little pole in the spike and 10 minutes later I had a 36" Red Fish (picture forth coming). Caught on a fish finder rig w/ mullet. Wound up catching 1 Whiting, 1 Black Drum, 9 Pomps.
Moral of the story is just go fishing :D

Nice work. A true testament to the fact that if you ain't soakin bait, you've got 0% chance of catching. It's nice to get bites like that after a discouraging few days, congrats!
