Was at the River this AM landed a few trout and some ladies.
Took a walk over to the beach and the water is very cold for being august .
Some anglers catching a few whitting but thats about it. Hope the H2O warms up soon. Say a prayer everyone.:D

Water still feels cold but the bird action is picking up and I am starting to see quite a few bait pods 75-150 yards out.

Have only caught blue runner, hardheads and a few whiting. NO jacks--big surprise. No sharks on cut mullet heads, no rays on squid.

Hopefully in another week or two the spanish and tarpon will move in close enough for us shorebound guys to nail a few.

62! Wow, thats cold. I now live on the west coast of Fl. and the gulf is 87. When I lived in the middle of the state I used to fish the east coast and I don't remember the water being that cold this time of year. I would have guessed mid to upper 70s. Well I guess its good so hurricanes won't develop.
