Sitting in surf as we speak...been here since 9am. Frozen mullet and artificial blood worms! Striking out...not a single bite...great weather though. Few more degrees!!!

We fished Tuesday, no bites, I think the fish dont bite when fronts are moving through

Try "fan casting" the area and slowly retrieve your baits like Flounder fishing . . . You'll be able cover more area that way and possibly "target" how far out the fish are !

I had 2 lines out...tried all depths. Waves were pretty choppy, but 3 ounce was holding put. Will try again sunday...maybe Huntington

R u up by Island Vista? Stay there several times a year and usually do well. Not a lot of people on the beach because it stands alone. Wish I was there.:beer::fishing:

Yeah fresh or frozen shrimp were doing okay last week, also got bit on live blood worms, but they are pricey.

Yep, fresh shrimp Is a must for sea mullet in my book. Id recommend frozen squid if I couldnt get fresh shrimp or dig my own fleas.
