Partly cloudy, strong warm east wind this morning with gusts up to 40 mph this afternoon. Highway 12 north of town and Ocracoke--Hatteras Ferry are closed so far. Still waiting for up-to-date information this morning. Is there any way to get to the beach besides walking (ugh)? Fishing ought to good after this storm, right? If we can figure out how to get to the beach....

If you can't drive, your other option is the Nike network.....(walk) sadly or a pier. Next obstacle is keeping bait in one place, battling heavy surf, current, sand blasting wind and that dang seaweed, bummer.

Sorry bout that, I'm thinking Hatteras...
I guess a guy could fish off a dock on Silver Lake and catch pinfish, lol
