November 13-14 is supposed to be the most "super" full moon since 1948 and the next best won't be until 2034.

I'm planning to be on the beach fishing the night away, if nothing else, just to have a great view of it. Last month's full moon was spectacular on the beach, and it was like walking around during the day! I even had a very distinct shadow. Just wondering if anyone else had any big plans....

I wish I could be there. Years ago myself and my fishing bud waited till the tide was where we wanted it which was at 1:00 AM, the forecast was for a big moon, another reason we wanted to go out, and as you described, we had shadows, could see the blues busting the water, it was beautiful, we still talk about that morning. Hope it's clear for you that night or morning, good luck.

weather permitting. Three of us old farts will be surf fishing at Ft Fisher. Bstarling, JB , and myself. Was there with my son and grandson on the October full moon. First time grandson had seen a full moon rise over the ocean. Caught pups on small rigs. No luck with big drum on larger rods. Yea, kinda neat seeing your shadow at midnight. Good luck to everyone -- glenn
