I fished the pier on Saturday morning at Sunset Beach. Lots of small blue up to 2 lbs. we're being caught on jigging gold hooks and throwing Gotcha Plugs. I was there from 7-11 AM and that was all I saw being caught. Some of the guys on the pier said some whiting and pompano were caught earlier in the week. Water temp was around 63 degrees. In the afternoon at low tide, I did a little surf fishing and caught three whiting. All were good eating size.

Not too far to travel...my neighbors are from Maryland and they come down quiet a bit. Anyway, Sunset is the most southern beach in NC. It is kind of hard to fish. Shallow water, no Sand fleas, small island. But, break out my River Rig and game on!!!
