Fished the Sunglow Pier in Daytona (Orange City) from about 1:00 pm until about 6:00 pm.

Slow day for all concerned. I saw a few Whiting and catfish pulled in but not much of anything else.

Water started getting a little junky later in the afterinoon.

Still.... a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work!

Price wise, Sunglow is a little bit cheaper to fish than Cocoa.

If you park in the Cocoa Beach Pier parking lot, they nail you for $5.00. The other option is to park in metered parking, but then you have to go feed the meter every hour or so.

If you go to Cocoa, there's a nice old retired Air Force gent guarding the parking lot. He'll tell you to go up to the Pier Management Office and get a VIP Card.

Present the VIP card at the parking lot, pay your $5.00 and he'll give you 5 dollars in tokens that you can spend on the pier (you can use these token to pay the $3.00 fishing fee).

Not sure if you can use these tokens at the Tiki Bar at the end of the pier, but I'll try it next time and file a report! :D
