Don't forget the size 2/0 long shank hooks.Early season c&r stick to bloods
Do you really mean circle???Don't forget the size 2/0 long shank hooks.
nah, those are for, um, flounder. You mean kahle 4/0 hooks, right?!Don't forget the size 2/0 long shank hooks.
I think I read in the past that someone did catch a keeper with a piece of cut spot, so, why not? I assume you meant the trophy season where the min size is 28''.I'm saying when the season opens.
I don't fish c&r.
Nope. While the circle hooks are thicker, they are to small for using blood worms imo. 2/0 long shank has the 1/2 inch gap so it's still in regs in Maryland for catch and release and the longer size fits more worm.. Problem is the thinner gauge of the hook itself is prone to being pulled for the unskilled. Too many just wanna lean back and crank in the fish using 60lb line on a 8k reel. Where's the fun and skill in that?Do you really mean circle???
Use a 3 or 4k spinning reel with 20# braid on a medium action rod and then it becomes fun! Ironically, my friend's short 6'6" rod hooks a 39 incher while the rest of us were using 8'+ rods.Nope. How about 4K conflict with 15 lb braid main topped off with a 50lb braid shock leader.Use a 3 or 4k spinning reel with 20# braid on a medium action rod and then it becomes fun! Ironically, my friend's short 6'6" rod hooks a 39 incher while the rest of us were using 8'+ rods.
The leading proposal is one 35" or over in the trophy season. I like one from last year.
x2striper doesn't even taste that great.
I probably won't do it this year because I have a friend who wants me to run his small boat trolling spread, but last year my set-up was like this:How about 4K conflict with 15 lb braid main topped off with a 50lb braid shock leader.
When you put them on the barbecue the same day they are caught, then it's very good. Otherwise I'd place them behind croaker, whiting, red drum, black drum, spot, cod, and mackerel, just to name a few!striper doesn't even taste that great.
