i was wondering what the best soft plastic colors are for striper. im planning a trip this saturday and was just wondering... thanks

yep ! i agree or somtn flashy like a squid lookin color with some sparkle flakes in it then again if they hungry try just about anything :D

I have tested alot of colors in the James and Appomattox rivers over the last 15 years. What I found is, mostly it depends on lighting conditions.

As a general rule with soft or hard baits chartruse, something with a golden color or believe it or not orange has out-fished anything else I've used.

Although the bottom line is use what you have confidence in. No confidence in a lure results in not so good results.

4" and 5" storm wildeyes in mullet, pinfish, bunker and croaker. Bring a few extras - blues love them too.

any other hard baits that will work. i have plenty of bucktails in white and chartruese
