Big ole cheapy Hurricane popper. Wind was ripping and it flew good. Better than the Cordells I have. 3$ impulse buy walking through walmart in KDH 2 days ago

I will definitely. Gonna go fight the wind and try again in the rip rap shortley. I'm only taking 1heaver for cut bait. I'm hooked on this topwater fishing. I've got Lm & sm bass on topwater but that was my 1st striper on one. That was a baby compared to your monsters and it blew up the surface when it hit. I can't believe the size of lures they will smoke. They are as greedy as catfish. Talked to a guy at the ramp and they have got a few over 40 inches on cut bait. Idk how a striper has a chance to get to cut bait with all the catfish in there. The only time I've ever got them on bait was on the sink after a cast. What about a suspending jerk bait? I have one that is pretty big and casts decent.

That jerk bait should work well too. How's the current there? If it rolls fast use it to work your plastic swimmers for you and hang em in eddies and along the seam.
