Anyone hear of using these types of rods in this area? Wondering if they'd be any good for our smaller inshore species. Most specs I see are 8-9 ft long, M/MH action, 8 or 10-20# line and 1/8-3/4 oz lures.
Steelhead Rods are the joint as they say in some parts of the world. You could do very well with your persuit for just about all marine species in this area. It's somewhat like having a really beefed up Noodle Rod! You can through small baits and lures great distances but not comprimise the power in the rod.
I say go for it you only live once and besides you probably need one anyway....
