Never fished a bucktail before, just got an order in for my vacation next week. Do you guys trim the tails on these at all?

Sometimes the tails get trimmed,but I worry more about the hooks they put in them.. I have seen them break before on big fish... Great jig to catch fish on other than the hooks.. jmho..

The fine tips is what gives bucktails the great action. It should be trimmed on the blunt end before being tied. Go custom next time.

Wash them off religiously after use. They will rust on you in a heart beat.

I would have loved to, but I don't know where to get that kind of stuff custom
