Where are the spot?? It's about to be august

Heard some are being caught at night on the beach piers. They don't really get going until after Labor Day and the nor'easters that herald the change of seasons.

Sporadic spots are being caught at BBNWR, nice size, but not enough for a fish fry.
Caution on the beach in the heat tomorrow! Lots of fluids!

I had great luck catching Spot from the surf today (24 July) at Ft. Story. A little on the small side, but a couple healthy bigger ones, too.
