Anyone catching any spanish from the surf? Sandbridge area? I know they are plentiful on the Va beach pier at the moment.

I landed one, lost two in the surf at Dam Neck last weekend and feel like I could have kept it going but my 3 year old decided it was time to try and run all the way to Sandbridge. 17MR Mirrolure in White/Chartreuse and Blue/Chartreuse. Tide was getting close to high right at dusk and I think that was key, lower water and I don’t think they come in that close in those kind of numbers.

Had a VA appt at Hampton last week and took my rod to try Fort Monroe pier till the traffic died down. Spanish were being caught on a mirrolure as they were running through area that lasted for about 20 min. There were lots of small black bass congregated in the area also.
