Went out today 9/25 at low tide about 2-3 PM, lots of mullet. Came back home, got my cast net, rod/reel, bucket, etc. First cast with a 6 inch finger mullet got me a 12 pound jack. Next was a 32 inch lady fish. Lost some other strikes after that. Anything may attack those mullet now. Went out later around 6, but tide was higher. Hard to get bait. Only got one 4 inch mullet...had a hit but it tore the bait off. Going to try again tomorrow, sometime mid-afternoon when the tide is out.

Sounds like a good deal! I may have to sneak out of the house and head for Playalinda tomorrow!

verobeachfish,
I use to haunt the beaches this time of year when the mullet were plentiful. As you have already noticed, it can be difficult to get bait.
You might try a sinking #52m green or black back mirrolure, slow retrieve bumping the bottom. Hold on!!!
Good luck.
