In this report me and my dad went fishing on the Gentleman fishing charter out of Oxnard California. The boat was packed with at least 60+ people on board. This trip was a chance to test out my new gear Bass Pro ocean master stand up model and the penn senator with 80lb mono. For the most part the fishing was frustrating as people lines tangled and that bad part was people on the other side of the boat line would drift over to our side of the boat and tangle. Then several times due to frustration and me losing my cool with tangling lines I ended up backlashing my reel. It came to a point where I switched rod because it was frustrating with backlash that I have to fix later on probably today. At the end of the day I still managed some good pullage with 5 rockfish and 3 of which were over 3lb and good keepers. The other 2 were released due to small in size. My other gear was a bass pro 6'6 boat rod with a cheapo bass pro sea lion reel. The good news is despite the bad fishing for the boat as a whole I managed not to lose any gear except for two hooks. I have like 500 hooks on me. 80lb line is easy to fix in backlash situations. To the guy with the braid line and snap swivels don't use it on a packed boat as it wraps crazy during tangles.

These boat crewmen were good they even took the time to teach a young man how to gut fish.
Heading back to the harbor I fed the seagulls fish scraps. They always bring me good luck when I feed them. As I catch a fish on my next trip.
