Yesterday I widened the margin between my smallest and biggest flounder, but I didn't do it on the biggest end. I was netting some bait in Bennett's Creek and caught two baby flounder about an inch and a half long. I released them as quick as possible. I was shocked to find them clear up in there. Just goes to show how important the estuarine complex is to the bay and the ocean. I guess the mud doesn't bother the little ones that much.
I went to Willoughby Spit and caught four of their bigger brothers, but none of them were keepers either.
