Intresting group but very short sited. It boils down to a fish grab by some rec's.

RE: Striperforever . At first glance I thought this idea to be patently absurd. Practically all fish are gamefish for someone. But why single out stripers. Quotas and seasons and regulating certain practices I can understand. An all out ban on a fairly plentiful species seems a bit extreme.
But as I read further I think the organization makes some good points in their FAQ section. One point is the overwhelming commercial value of a strong recreational fishery. Another is the unique availability of stripers to rec's as opposed to a fish like cod.
