I have a Shimano Static 5000FH which was hard to turn. After liberal application I got it to loosen up but had a black substance start coming out the bottom of the spool housing. Checked utube on how to clean and took it apart. The piece called a friction ring was completely dissolved and mostly gone. What is the friction rings use on this reel??

I actually looked it up because I have a Stradic, but looks like it only affects certain models including the FH.

"There is a device called a friction ring that holds the spool so it wont reverse on you and flip the bail when you are casting. They disintegrate and gum up the spool, causing it to jam."
