Does anybody know if the dual paddle handle from like a Shimano spirex will screw into a 8000 baitrunner D? Or does Shimano sell one I can order?

They only make the spirex up to a 4k . I doubt it would screw on a 8000d . way bigger body. Even if it did the handle wouldn't have enough clearnce from the body .when the bail would spin around it would more than likely hit the handle. Plus the knobs would be so small vs the power ball on the 8000d your gonna not like it on big fish. I have a 6000d and imo the frame does flex on it.imo could only imagine it being worse with a different handle like that but that's is my experience and opion on it. But hey anything possible these days.

Your best bet might be to drill your handle power knob off the 8000d (might have screw didn't look at diagram)and to add a round baitcaster handle to the knob shaft of your 8000d handle. Making up the design you wanted.

So you basically using your stock handle , remove the knob. Add a baitcaster handle with its knob on top of that handle.

OK. I just wasn't sure because I see some of the UK websites have all kinds of baitrunners for coarse fishing that have paddle handles. I like the handle it has but it isn't Counter weighted so the handle always has to be down or it will roll and disengage the baitrunner. This is the number 1 reason I don't use Abu type reels that auto engage with the turn of the handle. I prop my gear in brush, rocks, or whatever will hold. And when they get jumping from a hit I can't have them engage or its bye bye. I only bought the thing to be able to chuck a lighted float at night.
