Got to the pit around 9:30 am. Water a little rough but manageable. Got my grocery pole out and then started looking for bait. First cast with the net and caught about 12 nice finger mullet about 7" long. All were inside the surf line, inside the breakers. Hooked up the big-un pole with mullet. Had a few hits but missed them, then finally connected. Brought in a Jack about 10 -12 pounds. After that another jack (3-4 pounds), a Blue (3#) a large lady fish, then water got dirty. Meantime on grocery pole caught xtra large catfish, small ladyfish and a 14" pompano. Then water got unmanageable about noon-time. Hung out until about 3 pm but water not clearing. This old man had fun body surfing and playing in the water while fish not biting. Lines kept getting fouled with something that looked like casings for sausage or whatever. First thought that was mans pollution but to much of the stuff. Anyone know of any aquatic species that sheds its skin like a snake. It's almost like paperlike 12 to 13" long that wraps around your line. Let me know. Had fun but still no real big-uns and groceries.
